The Equity Symposium is an opportunity to learn from each other with a focus on racial equity. Our colleagues from Highline and beyond will present on a range of topics to challenge us to deepen our capacity for equity.

All staff will attend two sessions:
  • An All-Staff Anti-Bias Training
  • Additionally, staff will select an Elective session

In this session, we will examine our own cultural lenses and how those shape our instructional practices and interactions in the classroom. We will share ways to become more aware of our implicit biases, resources to use, and activities to do with students that create a more inclusive and culturally responsive classroom.
