The Equity Symposium is an opportunity to learn from each other with a focus on racial equity. Our colleagues from Highline and beyond will present on a range of topics to challenge us to deepen our capacity for equity.

All staff will attend two sessions:
  • An All-Staff Anti-Bias Training
  • Additionally, staff will select an Elective session

Participants will explore the connections between historical housing patterns, location of highways, governmental policies and the resulting racial wealth inequality. Participants will examine the false promises of urban renewal and gentrification, which have perpetuated economic racial inequality.
